Hyderabad!

Five years back, for the first time, I moved out of my home city – Hyderabad for my first job. Although I was looking forward to the new life, I had a heavy heart to part with all the people I had known for all my life at that point, friends, family, lanes and colonies, vendors, acquaintances. In less than two years, I returned to Hyderabad happily, to my family, to my friends. Now after 3.5 years I am again moving out of Hyderabad, this time with family and this time may be forever….

I have a heavy heart once again but this time, not for people but for the city! 20 years of my life I have lived here, moved in many houses, colonies, school, colleges, offices! The friends, the colleagues, the teachers, the people have moved on but this city holds the memories, the laughter, the drives, the idli/dosa bandies, the luncheons, the walks with friends, the talks with strangers, the coffees, the pani-puries, the favourite bhel to the favourite brownies to the favourite waffle place, the first day at school to first club party to first date, the story of fat me to thin me, the events of sad me and happy me, the places where I find my peace, the places from where I draw my faith,.. this city holds it all.. in every street and in every corner!

A friend told me, make memories with the place and not people, as you can always come back to the place. I do not know if destiny will bring me back here but I do realize that:

“Life ain’t short, it is just our time together”

Miss you Hyderabad!
