We all look forward to some days/events in life, personal and profession, like.. like birthdays, few close friend’s weddings, first trip to Goa, appraisal discussion for first promotion and so on. And when 5 close friends decide to marry on different dates of the month in which one’s appraisal discussion for promotion is due and to add on a Goa trip is planned following one’s birthday.. then all one can wish is to stop the roller coaster ride!!
So did I until I actually lived it.
The idea of attending five Indian weddings with all its ancillary functions along with 8 hours of work seemed scary at times, boring few times and tiring most times. But, today, looking back it feels so “ALIVE”.
From “office to home” weekdays and lazy leisure weekends routine, my life became “office to shopping to dance practice to functions to travels”.
Unbelievable, but I attended all the weddings in all my senses. Listening to the Pandits recite mantras, watching the rituals being performed, capturing the moments and feeling excited throughout. Wondered how!! But guess being part of an event which is important to your loved one itself gives you the HAPPY feel. Other thing and main thing being that you don’t want to hear “taunts and cribs” all life long so make sure you attend the events :p
My first trip to Goa, was unlike the Goa trip one usually plans. It had no friends but fun loving new colleagues, it had no massages but interesting team games, it had no beach side food but good buffet spreads, it had no fenny but smooth white/red wine, it had no churches but beach parties and casinos, it had just no beach hoping but an enchanting sunset and sunrise at a beautiful beach. In short, it wasn’t like a first Goa trip I imagined but yet had everything to make it WORTH the first trip.
Then comes the appraisals.. beep beep beep.. Corporate policy bars me to blog about it :p
Keep breathing 🙂
P.S. posting my favourite wedding shots and Goa shots.
